Agriculture Power from the Past
Organising a four day steam event combined with an exhibition is always interesting. This year has been unusually so since a few weeks ago we suffered a break-in in the same week as major disruption from a blocked drain. Happily we are now back in action. The Commemoration of the start of WW 1 has been a major event at Beamish Museum and as a result the Steam Event has slipped back one week into school term time. Thursday and Friday were unusually quiet but with a lively Saturday and Sunday.
We are grateful to Sarah Jarman and Paul Foster for the use of the exhibition space. Some of our prized models are stored in the musuem. Jim Duncan and Jimmy Mountjoy provided stands and organisation. Patrick Allen produced a speedy video of BMEG runs. the Tyneside Society of Experimental and Model Engineers showed a collection of splendid models.
